Timed for the crossing months and based close to the river, so you can be in position early and wait. Crossings cannot be promised — the herds move on their own schedule and sometimes not at all — but being camped near the crossing points, with a guide who reads the build-up, is the difference between seeing one and hearing about it.

Deposits are generally refundable up to a defined point before travel, after which charges apply. Gorilla permits are the exception — the parks themselves do not refund them once issued.
